Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
SafeNest Solutions LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Pact app ("Pact"). This policy explains what information Pact collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using Pact you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
Email address and username
Display name, profile photo, and any profile details you choose to add
Authentication identifiers, including Sign in with Apple credentials where used
Content you create
Pacts, goals, tasks, milestones, and notes
Circles you create or join, and messages, reactions, and activity posts within them
Photos, videos, and voice memos you upload as proof of task completion
Content you send to other members of your circles, including messages and any media or notes sent through Pact's accountability features
Messages you send to Pax, our in-app AI assistant
Health, fitness, and motion data
If you use movement-based pacts and grant permission, Pact may read or use the following:
Step count and walking and running distance, from Apple Health and your device's motion sensors
Walking cadence and pace during an active session
Proximity sensor readings, used only to count repetitions during an exercise session
Camera images processed on your device, used only to detect body position and count repetitions during an exercise session
Section 4 explains exactly how all of this is handled. It is optional, it is read-only, and it is treated differently from everything else in this policy.
Device and usage data
Device type, operating system version, and app version
Push notification tokens
In-app activity such as screens viewed, features used, and pacts started or completed, used to understand how Pact is working and where people get stuck
Crash and performance diagnostics
Optional permissions
Pact asks for the following only when you use the feature that needs them. You can decline any of them and continue using the app, and you can change your mind at any time in your device settings.
Camera and microphone — to capture photo, video, or voice proof of task completion, and for on-device exercise tracking as described in Section 4
Photo library — to upload existing media as proof
Contacts — to help you find and invite friends to your circles. Contact data is used only to surface invite suggestions
Location (while in use) — only when you ask Pact to find nearby places or calculate a walking or running route
Motion and fitness, and Apple Health — see Section 4
Google Calendar — if you choose to connect it, so Pact can schedule around your existing commitments
Tracking — see Section 6
2. How We Use Data
Operate the app and keep your data in sync across your devices
Enable social and accountability features, including circles, friends, and shared progress
Generate personalized plans, tasks, and guidance through Pax
Verify completion of movement-based and step-based pacts
Send notifications and reminders you have enabled
Process subscriptions and manage access to Pact Pro
Enforce our Terms of Service and community standards, and investigate reports of misuse
Measure and improve app performance, reliability, and onboarding
3. Media Storage
Pact may allow users to upload media such as images, video, or voice memos as proof of task completion, or to send to other members of their circles. These files are stored securely using third-party storage providers and may be visible to other members within your selected circles. By uploading media, you consent to its storage and display within the app.
4. Health, Fitness, and Motion Data
This is the most sensitive information Pact can access, and we handle it under stricter rules than anything else in this policy.
What we read
With your permission, Pact reads step count, walking and running distance, and walking cadence from Apple Health and from your device's motion sensors. During certain exercise sessions, Pact may also use your device's proximity sensor or camera to count repetitions. We use all of this only to verify and display progress on pacts you have created.
Camera-based exercise tracking
If you choose to use camera-based repetition counting, Pact analyses the camera feed entirely on your device to detect body position.
No video or images are recorded. Frames are analysed in memory and immediately discarded.
Nothing is saved to your device's storage, and nothing is uploaded to our servers or anyone else's.
Only the resulting repetition count is kept — the same number you would enter by hand.
This feature is entirely optional. You can count repetitions manually instead, with no difference to your progress.
What we do not do
We do not write any data to Apple Health. Pact's access is read-only.
We do not upload your health, fitness, or motion data to our servers. It is read on your device, used on your device, and stays there. What syncs to our servers is only the outcome — for example, that a task was marked complete, or a progress number you are tracking on a pact.
We do not store health information in iCloud.
We never use health, fitness, or motion data for advertising, marketing, attribution, or any form of data mining. It is excluded entirely from the advertising measurement described in Section 6.
We do not sell health or fitness data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Sharing with your circles
Health and fitness data is never posted to a circle automatically. If you choose to share progress from a health-based pact with people in your circles, that is an explicit action you take, and you can stop at any time.
Turning it off
Health, motion, and camera access are all optional. Pact works without them — you can complete movement pacts manually instead. You can revoke access at any time in Settings on your device, under Privacy & Security. Revoking access does not delete pacts you have already completed.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
Pax, Pact's in-app assistant, uses third-party AI providers to generate plans, tasks, and guidance. When you interact with Pax or use AI-generated planning features, the relevant content — such as your goal description, task titles, and the messages you send Pax — is transmitted to those providers to produce a response.
We do not send your health, fitness, or motion data, your media uploads, or your circle messages to AI providers for this purpose. We do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models.
6. Advertising and Attribution
Pact uses a third-party attribution provider to measure which advertising campaigns bring new people to the app. This helps us understand which marketing works and spend responsibly.
On first launch, Pact asks for your permission to track using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, attribution measurement is limited accordingly and Pact continues to work normally.
As stated in Section 4, health, fitness, and motion data is never included in attribution or advertising measurement.
7. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate Pact, and only to the extent needed to provide the service. These include:
Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
RevenueCat and Apple — subscription processing and purchase validation
Apple Push Notification service — delivery of notifications
AI providers — as described in Section 5
Our attribution provider — as described in Section 6
Google — only if you connect your Google Calendar
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Information Visible to Other Users
Pact is a social accountability app, so some information is visible to others by design. Depending on your settings, other users may see your username, profile photo, pact titles and completion status, streaks, circle messages, and any media you share to a circle.
Members of your circles may also send you content directly through Pact's accountability features, including notes, photos, videos, and voice memos. These features are opt-in and limited to circles you have joined. You can leave a circle, block a user, or report content at any time — see our Terms of Service for how.
Public pacts and public posts are visible more broadly within the app. Review your privacy settings before sharing anything you would not want others to see.
9. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes, or where we need it to investigate a report of misuse. Content you posted into shared circles may persist in the experience of other members.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also:
Delete your account from within the app or by request
Revoke any device permission in your device settings
Turn off notifications in your device settings
Leave a circle, block a user, or report content
Disconnect Google Calendar at any time
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account in the app, or request deletion at support@pactapp.co
12. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Users
Pact is operated from the United States. If you use Pact from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Notifications
You consent to notifications. Manage via device settings.
15. Children
Pact is not intended for users under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at the address below.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Pact after a change means you accept the updated policy.
